OneDrive handy hack - sync 'Shared with me' folders to your computer - CHRC Intranet - The Vine
Are you using OneDrive’s ability to share folders with other team members? I do, a lot.
Do you get annoyed when you’re trying to find that folder someone shared with you? I do, a lot.
It’s either hiding in a growing list of files and folders ‘Shared with me’ or in that email that-time-that-person-shared-it-with-me……….
I previously wondered if there’s a way to get a folder that has been shared with me to show up on my computer – and yes there is a, very simple, way.
For those of you also lost in OneDrive land, here it is:
*If you know the files name use the search function in Office 365 Online it will instantly select it regardless of what folder its in*
1. Select the Blue cloud in your taskbar, then the go online button.
2. Select SHARED from the left hand navigation menu.
3. Select SHARED WITH ME on the top navigation menu.
4. Find the folder and click on it to open.
5. Click on SYNC in the top navigation menu. A pop up window will prompt you to Open Microsoft OneDrive – select to do just that. And ta-da the folders show in your computer file explorer!
