Are you using word Word/Excel/Powerpoint
Ever look at your document and think where has this gone? It looked great at the start of the start of the week now its just a mess.
Ever realise that you deleted your important Table, Graph or Graphic and now you can't find it?
Or heavens forbid your document corrupts while saving and now you've lost the entire document.
Office 365 fixes all these things with version history, automatically generating a new version whenever a file is altered.
Otherwise you can use it to see if others have edited our document.
How to get the view version history and restore from older versions
1. From the Online page select the hamburger menu (3 dots/lines stacked on top of each other). And then select version history.
2. You can now view all versions of the current document and gain information such as how large the document is or who the last person to edit it was.
3. Selecting the hamburger menu next to the [Modified By] column you can pull up a menu that will allow you to either Restore, Open or Delete that version of the file. In this case I wanted the version just after Clinton had responded back to me in the document.
4. This open a new document which you are able to fully edit and save. In this sense it is a good practice to remember this if your the sort of person who likes to delete everything after you have finished something. As if you accidentally deleted the incorrect graphic from your folder you could still find it on the old version.
