Your working in a group and Joe Bloggs tells you they just fixed up section 3.2 of the document. However when you get to section 3.2 all you can see is a wall of black text, clearly Joe forgot to put his amendments in red, normally this would require copious effort to see what is new in the text or getting back on to Joe to ask him. However you can also use OneDrive's version control.

1. Key point, only the owner of the document has access to the Previous Versions feature of Onenote

2. Open up your document, I am using word for the example but this method would work with the entire Microsoft Suite.

3. Select Review from the top panel and then select compare

4. This creates several options, I selected compare to specific version and then decided to select version 1.0.

5. Version 1 in comparison to 14 has several changes. The purple underlined text is all new text. While the green underlined text has been cut and paste.

6. This is V5 in comparison to V14. In this case the red underlined text shows new words. in all cases though you can mouse over the text and it will tell you what change was made.
