All users within CHRC have the ability to edit certain components of their email signature. 



First in Outlook select File - Options - Mail - Signatures as shown below.




Select what signature you wish to edit:

You need to select include mobile to adjust your signature and add your mobile.


To make changes, simply enter the text you would like added into the Edit signature field and click Save.




To change which signature you would like Outlook to use by default, change the dropdown menu as highlighted then select OK





Here is a brief list of the things you can not change yourself, and how to get them changed for you:

  • Job Title:
    • If your title is misspelled or requires some words to be made into an acronym/initialism please ask the service desk to update your job title. 
    • If your title is out of date or you have changed positions, please ask HR to lodge a ticket alerting us to your new position. (HR needs to do this because we will also need to update your OneCouncil and ECM details).
  • Mobile Phone
    • You can add this yourself (as above), but if you find your changes aren't sticking, please lodge a service desk ticket and ask them to add this to your account. Please note: This number will also appear on your Skype profile.
  • Direct phone number ("D" +617 49...) 
    • This is a number that when called will patch directly through to your Skype. Not every employee needs/has Skype so not every employee will have a number here. These numbers are recycled as people join/leave council. While we try our best to keep recycled numbers within similar departments, you may occasionally receive a phone call for someone who has left. Simply guide the caller to the right individual, or to the front desk: 1300 242 686 (also on your email signature). If this is becoming a consistent problem we can swap your direct number with someone else in council. Please raise this with the service desk.
  • Promotional Banner / Signature
    • The promotional signature is updated every so often to advertise to the public important information. This is entirely handled by the Communications team, and unfortunately means that any changes made to this signature will be overwritten each time the banner is updated.
    • If you would like to request a banner for something you believe should be promoted, please speak with the communications team.
