When a user is requesting access to the old council website (usually the public relations team) to access links and resources that may still be broken on the new webpage.
First you will need to get the users computer number and type it into your file explorer like shown below ~ \\chrc####\c$ and then run with admin when the prompt appears
Following this file pathway ~ \\chrc1568\c$\Windows\System32\drivers\etc locate the hosts file and run it in the notes app
The hosts file should open and look like as shown above. All you are needed to do is inset ~ 13.239.109.149 www.centralhighlands.qld.gov.au then save the document
Once the change has been made contact the user and ask them to open the council website in Incognito mode then once they have finished with what they needed and contact you saying that you can revert the changes, simply go back into the hosts file and add a # in front of the IP and URL to cancel it out
