Moving the taskbar to the left can make it easier to navigate Windows 11, especially if you prefer the Windows 10 layout. Follow the steps below to achieve this.
Note: This will also move the start menu from the middle, over to the left side to follow the taskbar.
Step 1
To begin, click on the Start button located at the bottom centre of your screen. Then, select the "Settings" gear icon from the Start menu.
Step 2
In the Settings window, select "Personalisation" from the menu on the left-hand side.
Step 3
Under the Personalisation settings, click on "Taskbar" to open the taskbar customisation options.
Step 4
Scroll down to find the "Taskbar behaviours" section and click on it to expand the options.
Step 5
In the Taskbar behaviours section, find the "Taskbar alignment" dropdown menu. Click on it and select "Left" to move the taskbar to the left-hand side of your screen.
Step 6
Once you select "Left," the taskbar will immediately move to the left side of the screen. You can now close the Settings window.
