This solution article will cover the process in downloading google chrome to your work device using Company Portal & selecting it as the default browser. If you have Chrome already installed on your iPad then you can continue from Step 5.

Step 1. Open Company Portal & Sign in if prompted

Step 2. In the search pane, type "Chrome" and select "Google Chrome" from the list of results

Step 3. Select "Install" to begin the installation of the app:

Step 4. Navigate to the home screen & look for the Chrome icon to appear (allow for up to 10 minutes to install):

Step 5. Once Chrome has been installed, open the App and you'll see a message pop-up about signing in, we want to select "Stay signed out"

Step 6. When the Chrome default pop-up shows, select "Make default in Settings". (If you don't see this window you can also find default browser settings via Settings > Apps > Chrome > Default Browser App)

Step 7. Select "Default Browser App" and Select Chrome as the default

Step 8. Now that we have Chrome as our default browser for links, we also want Outlook to do the same. Open Outlook and Select the 3 Horizontal lines icon in the top left to open the side pane, from here you can select "settings" in the bottom corner:

Step 9. When settings opens up, scroll down towards the bottom of the list to find & select "Open Links With" and select "Default Browser"

With this you will now be able to open links sent from Outlook with your default browser (Chrome). If you have any further questions reach out to the IT Support Team on (07) 4980 6369.
