This article steps you through how to set your laptop or computer to play audio/sound through your Skype/Lync Headset or preferred sound device.
This particular example shows you how to select your Skype/Lync Headset as the playback device for sound.
1. Right Click on the little speaker icon next to the clock (bottom right corner of your screen). Choose Playback devices from the menu.
2. The sound settings window will be opened on the Playback tab. If you want the sound to come through your headset then you right click on the Headset Earphone open and select Set as Default Device.
3. The sound will now play through your Skype/Lync Headset.
4. If you wish to change your sound to come back through your computer or laptop speakers, simply follow steps 1 and 2 again however instead of choosing Headset Earphone, select Speakers to be set as your Set as Default Device
